Field Hall (at the Port Angeles Waterfront Center)

Field Arts & Events Hall mission: A home for arts and events that brings people together and strengthens our community. 

In 2016, the community of Port Angeles received the largest charitable contribution ever made in Clallam County: a $9 million gift from the lat Donna Morris to be used specifically for the design, construction, and ongoing operation of a performing arts and events center. Field Hall at the Port Angeles Waterfront Center is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit corporation, and was established to accept her gift and fulfill her wish.

Inspired by Donna's gift, local arts patron, Dorothy Field, purchased and donated the last undeveloped parcel of waterfront property in Port Angeles to be the site of the performing arts and events center. Dorothy has since contributed a significant level of additional funding to move the project forward. She has also established an endowment for operational funding that will ensure local performers will always have access to the stage in the new hall. In recognition of her gifts and in honor of her and her late husband, the building has been named Field Arts & Events Hall.

Our vision is to inspire, nurture, and empower the local arts community, enrich local cultural and educational experiences, and spark economic activity throughout the region.

Field Hall will include:

• A 500-seat, state-of-the-art auditorium; the focus of the mission and the core of the building
• A spectacular water view conference and event space, to suit groups of all sizes from 20 to 400
• A finely-appointed "Founder's Room" with striking views of the Olympic mountains for smaller groups, receptions, or meetings
• A full catering kitchen available to serve all types of events
• A 1,000-square foot art gallery on the main lobby level
• A waterfront coffee shop, steps from the Olympic Discovery Trail
• A full box office and ticketing center

Donna Morris asked that her gift be used in a way that specifically supports the following local arts organizations, known by us collectively as the Will Partners:

• Port Angeles Fine Arts Center
• Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts
• Port Angeles Community Players
• Peninsula College and Peninsula College Foundation
• City of Port Angeles
