Shipley Center is your local nonprofit senior center, founded in 1971 to enrich the lives of older adults through social, recreational, and educational activities.

Shipley Center’s core values:

Friendship is first and foremost, because so many of us could really use another friend, and many friendships are made and enriched at Shipley Center.

Recreation is next, because everyone needs to have fun times to get out of the house to travel and exercise body and mind with others.

Education rounds out Shipley’s core values because learning never ends. Seniors are keenly interested in learning about using technology to make life easier, and in finding ways to increase their health, longevity, and overall wellness.

Membership is just $55 per year per person, $95 per couple.

Shipley Center is named after local philanthropist and business owner, the late R. Leo Shipley, who believed that the services we provide should be supported and encouraged by all at whatever level they can afford.

Our current campaign to build a Health & Wellness Annex will add 6400 square feet to fulfill our mission for future generations to enjoy. We encourage you to get involved!
