Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary includes 3,188 square miles of marine waters off the Olympic Peninsula coastline. The sanctuary protects a productive upwelling zone – home to marine mammals and seabirds. Along its shores kelp and intertidal communities thrive, teeming with fish and other sea life. In the darkness of the sea floor, scattered communities of deep-sea coral and sponges form habitats for  fish and other marine wildlife.

Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Foundation’s mission is to support vital scientific research, educational programs, coast and beach clean-up efforts and advocate for the sanctuary. We hope you will support our 2020 mission to protect the Olympic Coast’s natural, historical, and cultural resources.
