To celebrate Micki Siegel de Hernández's retirement, we're inviting friends, colleagues, and allies to help us fundraise $1,000 for the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation (her favorite foundation). Micki has dedicated her career to the health and safety of workers on the job and now in retirement, she will be dedicating her time to the health and safety of sea critters and creatures too!
As the National Deputy Director of Occupational Safety and Health for the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Micki's career is defined by fierce advocacy, scientific rigor, and a determined commitment to protecting workers on the job. She has represented workers across the public and private sectors, from airline and telecom workers, to thousands of 9/11 responders and survivors. Her leadership in the World Trade Center Health Program as the Chair of the Responder Steering Committee and a member of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee under the Zadroga Act helped ensure accountability, care, and evidence-based protections for those who sacrificed so much.
Please join us in celebrating Micki with a gift that reflects her values, from protecting workers with PPE to now protecting the deep blue sea.
